Chris Hatto

Chris Hatto

Principal

Chris began his real estate career in 2003, following experience as a civil engineer and earning an MBA. He has held senior roles at Bentall, 20VIC Management, and Cushman & Wakefield, managing investment and development across Canada. Chris founded Birkdale Capital in 2020, owning and managing purpose-built rental properties across Ontario.

Principal

A commercial real estate executive since 1988, John brings a deep appraisal background and track record at Canada's leading institutional firms. As National Head of Retail Asset Management at Oxford Properties, he oversaw a 12M sf portfolio valued over $11B. Previously VP Asset Management at Morguard REIT.

Bruno Bartel

Principal

Bruno brings 30 years of property development expertise, including senior roles at 20VIC Management and Cushman & Wakefield where he led the development group for five years. Over the past 20 years, Bruno has also operated a residential development company in the Niagara Region, specializing in townhouse and single-family land development.

Arbor is developing a six-storey, 55-unit purpose-built apartment building in Beamsville, Ontario. Arbor's principals identified and acquired the parcel through a severance from a larger commercial site, demonstrating the hands-on, value-add approach that defines the firm's strategy in Ontario's secondary markets.

Arbor targeted the Port Hope market based on strong rental fundamentals and identified 7 Marsh Road as a prime purpose-built rental development site. The project will deliver a seven-storey, 78-unit rental building, with construction commencing spring 2027 and completion expected spring 2028.

Niagara Industrial Building

Arbor is partnering with a user-client to acquire an industrial parcel and develop a custom manufacturing facility in the Niagara Region. Arbor is providing a full suite of services including land purchase, planning and zoning strategy, and development project management from inception through to delivery.
